In response to our neighbor’s anticipated need, Northstar and The King’s Storehouse is preparing to stand ready to help. But Thanks to God the need has diminished because the virus has not worsened as originally projected. We are so thankful for this outcome. And we are thankful for your help. For now we'll halt all donations unless things change. If there ends being very little need, all donations will be added to The King's Storehouse Food Program and distributed to the poor.
The original mission statement:
We have a unique opportunity to be the church the world needs us to be in this moment.
Our mission is to do 2 critical things:
Here’s how it works:
Take CCR Cards at church and pass them out to your immediate neighbors. The card will offer our help with several staples they may need should they find themselves quarantined and low on essential items. Should they contact us for help you will take a care package and drop it on your neighbor’s porch. If for some reason you can’t do the delivery, TKS will help. If you want to volunteer as a delivery person, please see Pat Sweeney.
It’s that simple, yet so powerful.
We will be collecting the staples listed below every week and storing them in The King’s Storehouse where the TKS Crew will supervise their distribution. Please purchase and donate the following items as often as you are able. Please stick to this list.
Donations are on pause until such time as the need increases. If the need does not increase, all donations will be added to The King's Storehouse Food Pantry and distributed to the poor.
To qualify you must be sick or presumed sick due to exposure and quarantined.
If you find yourself in crisis, we want to help you…no strings attached. We will not leave our neighbors hanging in a time of need.
Should you find yourself quarantined and short on the essential household staples listed, give us a call and we will deliver them to your door free of charge. These items are basic and will help you make it through.
Please only use this service if you are sick, presumed sick due to exposure, quarantined and truly in need so that we have enough resources for all who need help.
We can only provide the items as long as supplies last.
To arrange a delivery, call Northstar Church at (360) 358-2030. Leave a message and we will reply very quickly.
We're only 1 church and we can do much more with your help. Use the example here to create one for your church or get involved in our effort. We're open to all sorts of ideas. If you would like to join the effort, let us know by emailing us at email@example.com . Also, take advantage of the Covid-19 information page where there are some really great church resources aimed to help you prepare to be a blessing to our community.
