Our Team

We’ve been blessed with several quality leaders over the course our half century history as a church.  Throughout that time, God has brought us pastors who took Northstar into a new season of growth.  We are thankful for all the leaders God’s used to further our vision and we believe the best is yet come as we prepare for what’s next.  Rest assured, we will continue to thrive and look forward to God using Northstar to be a light to Tumwater and beyond.

The Process

Our regional leaders will be sending us qualified candidates, our church members will get to know them, then vote.  Once we accept a new pastor, we’ll announce the happy news here.

Pastor Jack joined the Northstar Team officially in 2025 as our Executive Pastor.  Pastor Jack is a licensed Exhorter in the Church of God and is responsible for many of the day to day operations of the church along with heading up our assimilation/discipleship ministries.

In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Jack is also a musician and currently plays drums in the Northstar Worship Team.

Pastor Jack and his wife Nancy love people and serve with open hearts.  Pastor Jack is especially passionate about helping people learn about our church and helping them along the pathway to church membership.  He teaches our ALL-IN class which is the prerequisite for church membership.

The Church Council/Financial Team is made up of qualified men who assist the pastor and staff in a variety of ways.  They also provide financial oversight for the ministry.  They are from left to right:
